Martin and Zimmerman: Missing the Point

There is another class of coloured people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his Read more…

Tim Tebow: Sacked for a Loss

But of course it was just a matter of time. For well known NFL quarterback Tim Tebow, his career as a promoter of righteousness according to the scriptures is apparently over before it even began. But what were we really expecting? Did we really think that Tim Tebow was capable of challenging the vast array of vicious sports pundits and commentators who attacked him for… For what exactly? In a Handbasket?

“But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.” (2 Timothy 3:1) So said the apostle Paul in his last letter as he was encouraging his younger protégé to persevere. Adam Lanza would most likely be a well-adjusted  young man but for the mere existence (apparently) of his mother’s gun collection. Nothing like a gun collection to turn a nice loving young man into a perverse criminal. That is environmentalism in a nutshell. Honestly, does Adam Lanza have any responsibility for what Adam Lanza did? For all Read more…

Hypocrites!

Mitt Romney never did campaign for my vote. And, insofar as my vote would have bound him to any course of action whatsoever, he didn’t want it. The problem is that it’s comparatively easy to fire an employee who lies on his application. But a politician? Try firing him once he gets elected. At that point, all you as a voter can do is sound like a whiner and a complainer: “What did you expect?” Read more…

!!!Cannibals!!!

“He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance.” –The Declaration of Independence By now you’ve heard about the “Miami Zombie” who was shot dead by a police officer before he could finish chewing off the face of a homeless man in Miami, Florida.  Shocking, we say. Shocking indeed, but not unusual.  We have, it seems, grown used to a different kind of Read more…
